Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's cuisine is a means to get inside her world. Her food inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of into the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich scene in Los Angeles. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's interpretation of traditional Italian has been acclaimed for being among the most compelling restaurants for Italian cuisine located in Los Angeles. Lofaso has been described by a lot of people as a local favorite who consistently delivers meals that are delicious, authentic and inviting. Lofaso worked under culinary greats to learn their refined techniques. However, she was not afraid to make extraordinary decisions to honor her gut instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago and was able to make a difference in the kitchens of famous chefs in Los Angeles while working closely with many high-profile celebrities. Lofaso collaborated together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, the first bar to open situated in Studio City. Lofaso's home was found in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business relationships. The partnership would allow for creativity and freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that is the intention. The course could begin with potato chips dill Shishito chilies, and move on to a Korean wings dish and meatballs. What binds this diverse array of flavors is Antonia. Lofaso measures her success all through her career on the basis of her natural ability to know her audience and stay true to her personality. She's appeared on of many television shows, including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars as well as Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals.
